The courageous stories of women

My latest audiobook releases
Hi there!

When I looked at the last 7 books I narrated, I saw some fascinating coincidences. The female characters who are the main characters of the stories took great risks and walked a very courageous path that transforms them in some way. These women face dangers and are not without their flaws and complications, but don’t we all face complications? It is how we choose to react to them and whether we have the courage to face them head-on.

Take a listen and let me know what you think.

My most recent audiobook releases are:

Claiming My Place

Coming of Age in the shadow of the Holocaust

by Planaria Price and Helen Reichmann

The true story of a young Jewish woman who survived the Holocaust by escaping to Nazi Germany and hiding in plain sight.

Scarred: A Journey of Restoration

by Jan Levine

Beginning with the jarring events of her childhood, leading into the wayward choices and experiences of youth and adulthood, she weaves through her pain-filled story with candor, grace, and humor.  It is a testimony of hope and true life that will encourage all who listen.

Indecent

by Corrine Sullivan

Shy, introverted Imogene Abney has always been fascinated by the elite world of prep schools, having secretly longed to attend one since she was a girl. So, shortly after her college graduation, when she’s offered a teaching position at the Vandenberg School for Boys, an all-boys prep school, she immediately accepts, despite having little teaching experience – and very little experience with boys.

Exploring issues of class, sex, and gender, this smart, sexy debut by Corrine Sullivan shatters the black-and-white nature of victimhood, taking a close look at blame and moral ambiguity.

And stay tuned for the upcoming:

“The Summer I Met Jack”

Michelle Gable

coming soon!

In this scintillating audiobook from New York Times best-selling author Michelle Gable, listeners are asked to imagine the affair between John F. Kennedy and Alicia Corning Clark – and the child they may have had.

In 1950, a young, beautiful Polish refugee arrives in Hyannisport, Massachusetts, to work as a maid for one of the wealthiest families in America. Alicia is at once dazzled by the large and charismatic family, in particular the oldest son, a rising politician named Jack. Alicia and Jack are soon engaged, but his domineering father forbids the marriage.

And so, Alicia trades Hyannisport for Hollywood and eventually Rome. She dates famous actors and athletes and royalty, including Gary Cooper, Kirk Douglas, and Katharine Hepburn, all the while staying close with Jack. A decade after they meet, on the eve of Jack’s inauguration as the 35th president of the United States, the two must confront what they mean to each other.

The Summer I Met Jack is based on the fascinating real life of Alicia Corning Clark, a woman whom J. Edgar Hoover insisted was paid by the Kennedy’s to keep quiet about not only her romance with Jack Kennedy but also a baby they may have had together.
